Tongue Page

Jack Fact: Jack’s tongue was such a topic of conversation with Jack’s fans that one fan stated that Jack’s tongue needed it’s own Facebook page.

*Jack’s dad actually set up the “Jack’s Tongue” page but never launched it

Balanced Approach

Jack Fact: Jack never lifted his leg when he peed. (He kept dropping his mobile phone in the toilet) It turned out to be a good thing because after the M.O.N.T. surgery he would not have been able to balance himself that way anyway

*M.O.N.T. Mean Old Nasty Tumor: Jack had three brain tumors

T.M.I. 3 comments

Jack Fact: While going for walks Jack could hold his “P” for long periods but dad learned to carry a bag for a S.G.E. “sudden gastro-expulsion”.

*Sorry Jack I know…. T.M.I. (too much info) but you loved your walks and always had to suddenly poo

Jack He Be Good 1 comment

Sing along time: “Jack He Be Good”
(apologies to Chuck Berry : Johnny B. Goode)

Deep down on the internet near places barely seen,
Showin up without warning on computer screen
There played a black dog who did tricks for food
Who went by then name of Jack and he was good
He never ever learned to walk on a leash so well,
But he could balance stuff like ringing a bell.

Go Go
Go Jackie Go
Go
Go Jackie Go
Go
Go Jackie Go
Go
Go Jackie Go
Go
Jack he be good

He use to put stuff on his head and do a quick trick
Or sit beneath the trees and chew up a stick.
Oh, the internet friends marveled how on his head stuff stayed,
And telling his dad to be sure Jack got paid.
The people watching the passing by, they would stop and say
Oh my that black lab can make things stay

Go Go
Go Jackie Go
Go
Go Jackie Go
Go
Go Jackie Go
Go
Go Jackie Go
Go
Jack he be good

(guitar riff: this is where you duck-walk)

His friends told Jack you the man,
And you should be all over the internet land.
Many people seeing you be a clown
Not just nearby but the entire world around
Spitting their coffee as they watch him play
Saying Jack he was good today.

Go Go
Go Jackie Go
Go
Go Jackie Go
Go
Go Jackie Go
Go
Jack he be good

(fade out)

No Grip, No Pier, No Problem 2 comments

Jack Fact: Walking the boardwalk was Jack’s favorite and easier on the paw that he dragged than asphalt. However during the winter, the pier boards became cold and less porous. Since Jack couldn’t grip with his right foot, the pier with its incline was as slippery as ice, so new routes were taken and no complaints were heard from Jack.

Jack Fact: For a few years, Jack participated in an event to help others cope with tragedy and remember their loved ones.

*Jack was honored to help reduce the stress
** He didn’t mind being petted by strangers and taking photos. ***He even told a few Jackisms to help ease tension.

Getting Paid 2 comments

Jack Fact: As a master of balancing things (including delicious people food), Jack knew there was always a Jack-snack waiting for him.
* we didn’t give him the people food so we believe it helped with his self-control (and his waist-line)

Catching Jack 2 comments

Jack Fact: After the 1st brain surgery, Jack was not able to consistently jump into the Jack-mobile for rides (his depth perception and balance were a bit jacked up). After trying a ramp (it was hard to stay in a straight line) the solution was Jack jumping into the truck and dad catching him mid-jump.

*sometimes they weren’t very coordinated but dad never dropped the 90 lbs bundle of fur and spit
**Dad did sometimes get unexplained stains on his clothes during this maneuver.
